The Rains Came Down and the Floods Came UP!

The girls and I had just finished eating lunch when we hear a SMACK, BOOM, BANG!!! Sure enough it had started pouring down rain. Immediately the girls wanted to go play in the the storm. I thought to myself, "Really? I've already showered and put on my make-up. Oh and the mess! I really don't want to clean up the mess." Can't you girls just eat some popsicles or something?
Really Jess? Are you that lame?
COME ON!!! Get out there!
"Moments are the molecules that make up Eternity" remember?
Here's your chance!
A MOMENT!

And after that little pep talk, out we go! Here quick! Someone take pictures. (thanks grandma)
This picture cracks me up. Look at Maggie's face! I'm pretty sure she thought she was being tortured...

"And when all his hail and mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have NO power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo-
because of the foundation upon which ye are built!!!
A sure foundation which is Jesus Christ."
That was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this picture. Thank you seminary.
Bring it on Satan. We're having a ball...

Maggie wasn't convinced this was fun, good thing she had her Mommy to hold on to. I love my baby. I love it when she clings to me. I love it when she needs me. I love it when I'm the only one she wants. Please stop growing. Please Please Please.

These two girls sure loved playing in the rain!

That is until the thunder came. Then they ran off like a bunch of little girls! Wait a minute, they are a bunch of little girls! haha. Where are ya'll going? Some angel just hit a home run!!!

Yep, I'm a mean Mom. Come on Maggie, don't you want to play in the mud?

Okay, okay. What if Mommy just holds you and we go splashin in the water? Sound good?
I like that plan too...

I love my job.
And the mess wasn't even that bad. ;)

What a great storm! And you are awesome for living the moment. Much better than me. How fun. Those are some lucky girls you have.
