Where I Come From- Family Reunion Rewind

All this family reunion business made me think of all the good times from past ones. So, what the heck? How about a little reminiscing for this months "Where I Come From" post?
Yes please.

Ah yes, good ole times...
Photobucket
hahaha! This is SO CUTE! Alex, Steven, and Mike with their pirate swords...

The moment I looked at this picture it was like I could feel those cool, slimy fishy scales... You can tell Lil' Mike is enjoying that feeling...

Sometimes a good reminisce hit's the spot. Kind of like a good burger and a chocolate milkshake, but without all the calories. ;)

Part Seven: The Ties That Bind

It's family picture time!!!
Showing these pictures makes me feel like I'm standing out in the middle of the street butt-naked. haha!  I was so grateful for the opportunity of being in charge of family pictures. However, I wish I had done so much better. {sigh} practice, practice, practice...
Anyway, that's enough of that... Here they are...

Let's begin with the big ONE... the group shot...

Photobucket
Oh my goodness, I loved taking these ones! How can you get so much "good-lookingness" into one photo?
Photobucket
I so wish I can remember what my Dad said to Kenzie and Steve to get that reaction! And I'm pretty sure Jayce has been in this position before- he looks so comfortable! haha!
Photobucket
Me and my babies!

Part Six: Wedding Day

The moment I saw a picture of the San Diego temple was the moment I decided I wanted to get married there. I was just a little thing, but my did I fall in love with that temple. I had a small hand-held size picture of it in my room until I graduated high school. It's just SO PRETTY! Definitely a fairy tale castle. AND I FINALLY GOT TO SEE IT WITH MY OWN TWO EYES! Even Rachel and Maggie paused to stare at it when they arrived. I was so happy that I had the opportunity to attend Travis and Cami's wedding. I love watching the expressions of love on new couples faces.
So geniune- So fresh- So beautiful- So In love.

There it is! STUNNING! It's right off the interstate too! I squealed the moment I saw it!
Photobucket
Pictures like these painfully remind me that I am an amateur photographer who has a lot to learn- {sigh}
Photobucket
Kenzie shot one of me with my dream castle! YES! Thanks Kenzie!
Photobucket
Susan and John- the beautiful Mother of the Groom...
Photobucket
I love these too... so so so much... How must it feel to attend your grandchild's wedding? The JOY! It's all over their faces...
Photobucket
Caitlin and Billy with their temple...
Photobucket
THE BRAND SPANKING NEW COUPLE!!! Coming out their special exit! So happy!
Photobucket
Rachel and Maggie were IN LOVE with the baby Jesus from the manger scene... in love I tell ya...
Photobucket

My amazing parents enjoying the festivities...

Congrats again Travis and Cami! Thank you for letting all of us be apart of your special day!

Part Five: Legoland!

LEGOLAND LEGOLAND LEGOLAND LEGOLAND!!!!
We got to go to Legoland!!! YES! Most everyone went to the temple for Cami's endowment session that morning.  But everyone with small kids and all the teenagers went to Legoland. I was pumped. And I must say, it was perfect for small children- lots and lots to do. I wish I took more pictures, but you know how it is chasing two babies around a theme park- it's NUTS! I think Tyler would have really loved this place. Any boy can appreciate LEGOS! That's just want it was- LEGOS! Everything was made out of LEGOS!!! Whooo!

YES! Doesn't this picture get you excited? YES!!!
Photobucket
I adore this picture. times ten.
Photobucket
The Legoland crew...
Photobucket
Everything was LEGOS! Check out this elephant... cool huh?
Photobucket
Grandpa was on Maggie patrol while Rachel did a few rides... He who has the goldfish, lures in the baby, and my Grandpa Barrow is an AMAZING fisherman!
Photobucket
poor Mags, not big enough yet...
Photobucket
FINALLY! She actually made it to the front of the line. Oh my Rachel and lines! She is a major line-cutter. We got looks of dirty looks.
Photobucket
Okay, I know this picture is pathetic... Rachel is in the middle of a yawn and Maggie has her hand in her mouth- BUT look at that tree!!! haha. So cool.
Photobucket

I love Legoland!

Part Four: Story Time

The main family activity for this reunion (other than Travis and Cami's Wedding, of course) was "story time". Everyone was assigned to write a story that displayed your character. Once written, you were to swap your story with someone else and read them to the family.  Every night we got together and listened to each others stories. I thought this was so cool because I was able to see and understand things about different individuals that I never knew before.

Our family continues to grow and spread out and I thought this was a perfect motto for our reunion- "The Ties That Bind"

Tyler was able to Skype in! The girls and I were so excited! We were our own family for a few minutes!

Photobucket
Rachel getting her story read by Niki...
Photobucket
My Grandpa Barrow... He is unlike anyone you will ever meet. He is one person I have always admired and looked up to. He is so full of wisdom and humor- an excellent combination! Here he is telling his twist on the Good Samartian story...
Photobucket
Playing games after story time... Sorry Mark but I think you got beat at this one! haha!
And there's Tyler trying to get that dang oreo from his forehead to his mouth... tricky business!
Photobucket
I'm not done yet folks! Get ready for more! ;)

Part Three: Service Project

I can't believe I missed this! I was so bummed. Service projects are the BEST! They are the best antidote for any problem you may have. Plus, it's just fun. Despite this, Rachel and Maggie were in desperate need of a nap. Boy oh boy- I mean d.e.s.p.e.r.a.t.e.
So, I had my Dad snap some shots for me. Thanks Dad! Looks like a great time!

   haha Caitlin! Service is FUN!
Photobucket
