Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend

I finally decided what I wanted to spend my graduation money on! ... yes I graduated a year ago, hey!, I like to condsider all my options ;)

Anyway, I considered skydiving, bedroom furniture, a yellow kitchenaid, some fancy clothes, and SHOES... but nothing settled right. If you know me I take FOREVER to buy things (esp. clothes) for myself. And once I do, I guilt and question myself until I take it back or just keep it. I'm pretty sure that Tyler would love to never again hear ... "Are you sure it looks okay?", or "turn around, I wanna take it back!".. haha

A couple of months ago, we were strollin around Gander Mt. and I saw it!!! The compound bow section! It was so beautiful! Everything looked so powerful and awesome. I was instantly starstruck. I knew what I wanted for the first time without having to double check or look at consumer reviews online for hours. So, I dropped down my huge wad of cash, and skipped out the store. YES! I don't think I asked Tyler any of those questions!

I've wanted to post this for a while, but kept waiting till I got some better pictures.. oh well these ones will have to work. I can't wait to actually kill something... like some gar, hogs, or a stray cat ( Mom Payne.. wink wink). hahaha But for now I just like to go to the range and shoot for fun. We've had a lot of fun with it so far.

Weatherford Thanksgiving

Common happenings... one thing I love about weatherford.
Funny Daisy! I love that smile!
Rachel took her first step in the new addition! She was standing on her own facing me and then took a step towards me... then I shrieked with excitment... she got startled... and fell over. priceless... ( 7 1/2 months old)
Beautiful Faye. She reminds me of Princess Aurora...
"one gift beauty rare, gold of sunshine in her hair, lips that shame the red red rose, she'll walk in springtime wherever she goes..."
Working on the addition... SO CLOSE!
Jacob and Liz... YAY JACOB IS BACK!
Grandma and Rach giggling at Tyler
I just loved this picture! Cute baby and beautiful Momma T

Thanksgiving was great! Rachel enjoyed all the attention and commotion. She is trying to walk, but still hasn't got her balance yet. BUT! She did take ONE step without falling over! Tyler's brother Jacob returned from his mission just a few days before we arrived. It was great to see him! The new addition looks marvelous! And well... we are so excited for the reunion over Christmas!!!

Dave and Cheylee

I messed with the colors on this one. Aren't they adorable?

Boosted this one a bit

This is my first try at a photography session. I only got off automatic settings a few times... I'm still trying to figure this whole DSLR thing out, but I think it turned out pretty good. I did edit a couple of these with photoshop... just a few tweeks.
What do you think? Do I have a shot at this?
Thanks Dave and Cheylee for being my test dummies! Ya'll are awesome.

Love at first sight

Tyler got into a wreck a while ago... nothing major, not his fault. SO, when we took it into the shop, they gave us THIS to drive. Except ours is a crew cab. YES!!!, even sweeter.

Needless to say, I LOVE IT! love love love love love.
It has to go home tomorrow. Sad day.

Hair Today.... Gone Tomorrow

HAH! I knew that title would catch your attention! ... I haven't actually cut my hair yet. It's gotten sooooooooooo long and pretty. BUT! ITS ANNOYING AND TANGLE Y! I've been planning to cut it short (somewhere between a bob and shoulder length) for ages, and finally the moment draws near... and I'm beginning to chicken out.

Have you ever heard this... "When people have babies they cut their hair short.... AND TURN INTO MOMMIES." NOw... turning into a "Mommy" is awesome... but having a "Mommy" hair cut makes me feel like... i don't know... nervous. haha LIke I'm gonna turn all stuffy. Also.. will cutting it short make me look fat? hahahaha

I need some encouragement... some confidence from you! ANd if you don't have it... don't say anything at all! haha.

And just a random thought I had the other day... Does anyone else sneeze when they pluck their eyebrows? That is if you pluck yours... I have to! OR I look like Oscar the Grouch or some vodka drinking Russian

Baby Swing

Rachel loves being outside. Lately any time we go outside she starts giggling with joy. Jessica was pretty sick today, so i took Rachel to the Park. One of her favorite things to do is to swing in the baby swings. She could stay in those swings for hours. She has even started to use her charm on her daddy so that she can stay a little longer. This is the expression she has on her face during the first 15 minutes in the swing.

This is how she lets us know that she is simply to cute to be taken from the swing.

This is what happens when we take her out of the swing. The slide is just not good enough.

And this is the "Oh no!!! Daddy is coming to get me, look distraught and cute at the same time! Maybe he'll leave you alone for another couple of minutes." After this, she normally hangs on for dear life and will not let the swing go. The rest of the story is not nearly as sweet.

Just what I needed.

Tonight after Institute Tyler and I had planned on going running. We were gonna bring Rachel in the jogging stroller, but then friends of ours volunteered to watch her while we ran. It felt so great to go running just the two of us. Then I spotted some puddles... and then running turned into mud wrestling and slipnslide. It was terrific.

We all go through rough patches... where we just don't know how things will ever work out,or if we'll ever be able to conquer certain demons in our lives. And well I must say, mud certainly helps. :)
Thats all I have say.
Don't Let the Bastards Get You Down.

She's 6 Months OLD!

Rachel got her 6 month check-up today. She is 27 3/4 inches long and 17.5 lbs. heavy, which means she's in the 95% for height and 75% for weight! Wahoo! It's hard to believe how much she's grown in just 6 short months... I feel like tearing up... holy smokes woman snap out of it! haha. Really though, she is such a blessing in my life! She is my sunshine. :)
