Last Sunday was our first Sunday going to our new ward.
Everyone was jittery. Everyone couldn't stop smiling. There was an excitement in the air.
We were going to a ward where no one knew our name. I just love that. A chance at a fresh start. There's something so invigorating about it! I had the urge to stop and grab random people by the shoulders, shake them and say, "WE ARE SO EXCITED TO BE HERE! Really, you have no idea!" But that would be totally weird and creepy. So instead of shaking people, I gave a friendly smile and said, "Howdy! We just moved in! I'm Jessica Payne!" Still probably a little to friendly for some people, but hey, it's who I am.
I could tell Rachel and Maggie felt the same way. All morning they would exclaim, "We're going to a NEW church and we're going to make NEW friends!" Ah, man! They were so cute.
Look at Miss Rachel posing for the camera in her new Christmas dress that Nana bought for her... She was so excited to wear that dress! What a beauty!
A sibling picture! Both of them are looking and smiling!
Pinch me, am I dreaming?
Of course we had 5 minutes before church started... so I got out the iphone and kept snapping.
I couldn't help it! We're going to church together!
"Jesus Wants Me for a SUNBEAM!!!"
She is shining, don't ya think?
She is shining, don't ya think?
And my little nursery goer... running from the camera...
Time to go to church! Maybe I'll catch a few of her next time...
