She's got a thing with looking people in the eye (or animals)... I must say, I like that about her.
I swear those dadgum goats kept trying to eat my baby's pigtails! No-sir-ee, not those pigtails, I've waited too long!
Rachel hasn't quite figured out the big kid swing yet. I tried to help her, but this stubborn child wouldn't have it.
Needless to say, she ended up doing a lot of this...

This is actually Nate, and I wanted to let let you know how impressive your photos look. I know I sound nerdy but I wanted to ask what lenses you use. Do you stick with one main one? I really want to get better at photography but I dont really have any time while in training. Anyways good luck with things Im sure times are tough with Tyler being gone

Nate- Thanks! I usually stick with my 50mm lens. Its the best! It lets in so much light! It doesn't look very impressive like the big long lenses- but trust me, you'll love the results.
ok one last question. I have a 50mm prime I think it has a 1.8 aperture. Im assuming thats the same lens you were referring to. I dont use it much but Ill start. Do you use full manual? what aperture do you much often use (in normal light conditions) I remember using that lens sometimes and when I had it down to 1.8 it seemed hard to focus correctly with such a shallow depth of field. Maybe I just need to practice. thanks for the help!
Yep- thats the one. the focusing is tricky when the f-stop goes down that low, and I'm certainly no expert- but when it's darker outside (like the twilight hours) it does really well down that low. It was a very bright day in those pictures above and I had it on 5.8-10. I switch it up a lot in the same lighting conditions and then take it home a evaluate. I tend to like my pictures a bit overexposed as well. And--- I go full manual often, but lately I've found that I like keeping it on Aperture priority better. Unless I'm at a football game or something. I hope that helped in some way. Also- I go to the Pioneer Womens website and look at her advice on photography.. I've really enjoyed it.
