I'm so glad when Daddy comes home!

Every day without fail Tyler comes home and wrestling on the floor with the kids commences.
Luke LOVES it. 
You can never start 'em to early around here. ;)

hehe...

I love this boy! Love him! Love him! Love him! 
I try and fight and wrestle with him, but I just can't. I always end up cuddling and kissing him instead.
I'm a sucker.

Seriously though, who wouldn't be?

The last few days have been perfect. In the 70's and sunny. I love this weather!!!!!
Maggie still complained that in was cold....
Something tells me she wouldn't last long up north. haha!

We spent the whole day just hanging out in the backyard. 
And for dinner we got take out BBQ.
I live for days like this.

Still Makes Me Laugh

These are the blogposts I long for... 

I know I'm behind on Christmas and family outings... heck, I haven't even done a WE BOUGHT A HOUSE post yet!!! Don't worry I'll get to it. 

But these little posts... the "in the moment" ones... the ones that still make me laugh months later...

These are the ones I don't want to loose or forget.

I remember this summer day... it was hot, I was pregnant, and we were inside watching a movie... 
I got the camera out and as soon as Rachel realized I was taking pictures of her she got this cheesy look on her face. 
hahaha! 
Yep, still makes me laugh...

Okay, admitting this may make me sound like a bad Mom- but I dread doing Rachel's nails.
She asks all the time. I do it. Quick, easy, one coat... done. 
And then she begins to take a closer look...
"Mom! You missed a spot!" "Mom its clumpy right there!" "Mom can you do this one again?"
Oh brother.
But then I finally get it all right. Every nail is up to par. 
And she gets this look on her face...
Pride. Satisfaction. Just Right. She loves nail polish.

Gotta admit- that made you laugh. ;)

Little Dude Man Smiles

And this is look he gives me almost all day... it just beckons me in... calls my name... and says to my Mommy heart---
Stop everything you're doing because nothing is better than getting me to smile.

Short and Sweet

Keepin' it short and sweet today---
I love my Luke.

I just want to go fishing...

Let's just pretend that I'm all caught up on blogging. I know I'm not- but let's just pretend. 

I vividly remember seeing people months even years behind on blogging and thinking to myself- what's the big deal? It doesn't take that long! haha! Oh my dear darling Jess Payne- I believe you are eating those words nowadays. 

Seriously ya'll, I just want to go fishing. Just me, the lake, my pole, and my riggly, wiggly worm. 

I have forgotten how much pregnancy and one little baby can change your whole world. Guys, I go to bed at 9pm! Just because that's normally when Luke falls asleep and if I don't go to bed I know I won't be able to work out in the morning and will likely be a wreck all the next day. Oh Motherhood. 

I can see it now. Me and no make-up. Me and my cut-off jeans. Me and the gators. I just want to go fishing. 

On another note, when I do get a chance to get something done, the kids are all happy, and it seems like the world is at peace, I almost always decide to cuddle my baby. I can't tell ya'll how much I love that little guy. His eyes are always so bright and pure. They pierce me right through to my Mommy heart. 

I can feel it now. Those sun-kissed cheeks and a cold drink in my hand. Just me and sounds of the lake. I just want to go fishing. 

I've been doing CrossFit everyday these days. I love CrossFit. It pushes me. It is my outlet. I love it. But since coming back after having a baby, I get easily frustrated with myself and where I'm at. I want to be the best. I want to be the strongest- the fastest. But then I come home and realize that it's okay that I'm where I'm at. I'll get there. For now, I have the best gift Heavenly Father could have ever given me. Three crazy beautiful children. 

I can tell you now- I'll finally go fishing. 

I'll wonder why it is that my drink is still full. Why I can't hear a baby giggle. Why no one is playing with my hair. Why no one is putting on my lip gloss. Why no one is scaring all the dadgum fish! I'll wonder why I'm having no fun at all. 

Oh Motherhood. 

Rachel, Maggie, and Luke. You've turned my world upside down.

Maggie Ila turns THREE!

Miss Mags turned three last month.
THREE.
tHrEe!
3!!!!
She's growing up way too fast.

There are many words I could use to describe this three year old...
One would be-
Free spirited.
She goes where ever her boots take her.

Beautiful.
And she knows it too.
It's my mission in life that make sure she never ever forgets it!

A fidgeter.
Yup, she loves to figure things out... take things apart, put things back together.
Rachel and I don't care about such things. She must have gotten that from her Daddy.

Confident.
Yeah Mom, I got this.
I have no doubt that this girl can do anything she sets her mind to.

Funny.
This girl has a sense of humor let me tell you! She loves to laugh! Her forced fake laugh makes me sooooooo happy! haha!

Sweet.
Yup, she's still got that cuddle-bug in her. Thank goodness. I don't know what I'd do without Maggie cuddles.

Active.
I know every Mom thinks this about her children, and I'm no exception.
This girl wears me out! She climbs, runs, jumps, dances, skips, trips, and falls all day long. Seriously, this is the reason we MUST get out of the house on a daily basis. We have to get those wiggles out.
On the upside of having this active girl is that she's is amazingly athletic. I can't wait to see her in action.

She's One of a Kind.
