HE IS RISEN!

It's springtime in Texas!! The Blue-bonnets and Indian Paintbrushes are out and it's starting to get hot. You all know what that means... EASTER! We had a lot of fun easter weekend. We had a BBQ and played horseshoes out at Washington on the Brazos State park with my family. My Mom and I went Easter dress shopping (its a tradition we've had since I was little) and found matching dresses the week before, and we looked HOT! haha just kidding. It was just a great weekend. I love getting to celebrate the life of the Savior without having to worry about presents and stuff. It was such a beautiful day!

Welcome Hinckley Daniel Crawford!!!

We have been blessed with some amazing friends here in College Station. Among them, are the Crawfords. They took us in when we first went to the family ward. They'd invite us over to play games and have sunday dinner all the time (Teasha makes some good food by the way!). They have been excellant examples to us. Tyler and I love to go and visit them and play with their kids. They have some WAY CUTE kids! Thomas, Allie, and now little Hinckley! We got to watch the kids while Scott and Teasha went to the hospital to have a baby! It was fun to see how excited the kids were about meeting their new little brother!

The Cowtown

I'm trying to catch up and put all the stuff that has been going on this last semester! I told most of ya'll this, but I ran the Cowtown half marathon with my little brother in Feb. 2008. I was determined to do it and I did it without stopping!! pretty sweeeeet! It was so much fun! I never knew how much of a adrenaline rush it would be! There were people everywhere cheering us on and clapping! To me, it was very symbolic of all the angels that cheer us on everyday, only we can't see them. That sounded cheesy, but it's true! I've never been much of a runner, but I've found that it's the quickest and hardest workout I can do with the time I've got. I actually just started running one mile in the fall to try and lose some weight and it ended up turning into 13 (thanks to Tyler). Tyler was such a good sport about the whole thing. He has Army PT in the mornings and in the afternoons he'd run an extra 5 miles with me everyday. What a supportive husband! He was supposed to run it with me, but he had Army stuff the weekend that it fell on. :( Good thing I have a stud for a little brother to jump in at a weeks notice and run a half-marathon!!

Where did my sandwhich go???

Over spring break, Tyler and I went fishing with my Grandpa Barrow! It was a little too chilly for the bass to bite, but we still caught a few. While Tyler and Grandpa fished, I birdwatched and found lots of cool waterbirds! It was great. I decided to make some peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches out on the lake and both Tyler and Grandpa wanted one too! While I was handing a sandwhich to Tyler, Molly (grandpas dog) stole it! Faradinckum Dog! haha, Grandpa and Tyler got a kick out of it though! We love going to the cabin, its sooo much fun. Last time I saw some Roseate Spoonbills that I was pretty excited about. I bet all my little nieces would love them because they are pink!

Best Friend! RUURuuruu!

Monica and I met at church while we both were still in high school (or was is Middle School?), like jeeeez.. 7 years ago?? anyway... she called me and annouced that she would be going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! And she is going to Berlin, Germany! How awesome is that? Now, she gets to be trilingual! Anyway before she left for the MTC she came down to Texas to visit me! We had a blast, laughing, singing, makin cookies, and visiting old friends. I was soo sad when that weekend was over. Friends like her only come along once in a lifetime!
