Best Day Ever

Happy Mothers Day!!!! Today was a fantastic day because all the family came into town for baby Rachel's blessing. And, I got to give a talk in church! At first I wasn't to thrilled about the calling since it was going to be such a hectic day, but it was actually really neat to give a talk in front of my Mother, Mother In-Law, Nana, and Grandma. But the best part of the day was Rachel's blessing, it was defiantly a special moment that I will not forget.

After sacrament meeting we all went to the park for a BBQ. It was a ton of fun and I'm so grateful for all the family that were able to come and support us. THANKS GUYS! :)

New Sister!

Welcome Michelle! She is the newest addition to the Payne family. Her and Jason got married in the LA temple and last weekend had a reception in Weatherford, TX. It was so much fun, and I'm glad I finally got to meet her! Her and Jason make such a cute couple. Jason is one lucky guy!

Mommy Power!

I just want to say something to my Mommy and Mama Payne... (or should I say Nana and Grandma).... Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! Ya'll are the BEST!!!
I didn't realize how big of a wreck I'd be after having a baby! Every time she'd cry, I'd cry with her because I just didn't know what she wanted. Everyone knows that babies cry, but I never realized how it'd make me feel when MY baby cried! And when we brought her home from the hospital I was scared I would break her or something. But I'm happy to announce that shes not broken. haha.
I'm so grateful that I had so much help! It was wonderful. Thank You Mommys!

Rachel's little accident

Jessica, Rachel and Mama Payne were at the hospital for some routine baby tests. Jessica and I decided to try and save some money and use cheap diapers. Unfortunately you get what you pay for, especially when dealing with diapers. She was such a mess Jessica had to just strip her down and use a receiving blanket as a make shift dress. We discovered Rachel is cute and happy no matter what.

Rachel is here!!!!!

The Family is finally together for the first time.
Proud new Daddy!!!!

This was the best moment of the whole process. Jessica was in labor from 5am to 8pm. She was stuck by a learning med student 6 times to get an IV. She had to get stuck for the epidural twice, which wore off during the last two hours of labor. After pushing for several hours Jessica gave herself a temperature of 103 degrees. Once the epidural wore off she just kept pushing on like a true fighter. Due to the danger of the raising temperature, Jessica was forced to have an emergency C section. Rachel came out and is the calmest happiest baby in the nursery, but due to Mommy's fever she was placed in ICU to be treated for possible infection. We were told that Jessica would not be able to see Rachel until she was able to walk into the ICU, but Rachel was such a strong good baby the ICU doctor broke the rules and brought Rachel to Jessica for one short visit. After not sleeping for two days, being hurt by several people, pushing until feverish, and being told she would not see the baby for probably two days, the JOY of the moment was overwhelming. We are so grateful for all the support we have received from everyone and look forward to introducing you guys to Rachel.
