Rachel took her first step in the new addition! She was standing on her own facing me and then took a step towards me... then I shrieked with excitment... she got startled... and fell over. priceless... ( 7 1/2 months old)

Thanksgiving was great! Rachel enjoyed all the attention and commotion. She is trying to walk, but still hasn't got her balance yet. BUT! She did take ONE step without falling over! Tyler's brother Jacob returned from his mission just a few days before we arrived. It was great to see him! The new addition looks marvelous! And well... we are so excited for the reunion over Christmas!!!

This is my first try at a photography session. I only got off automatic settings a few times... I'm still trying to figure this whole DSLR thing out, but I think it turned out pretty good. I did edit a couple of these with photoshop... just a few tweeks.
What do you think? Do I have a shot at this?

Love at first sight

Tyler got into a wreck a while ago... nothing major, not his fault. SO, when we took it into the shop, they gave us THIS to drive. Except ours is a crew cab. YES!!!, even sweeter.

Needless to say, I LOVE IT! love love love love love.
It has to go home tomorrow. Sad day.

Momma and cub... Can you believe this nightie size is 18 MONTHS! I've got a big girl! She's strong like her momma! :)


It's so dadgum short!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cut off 10 inches!!!! It feels kinda weird, but I think I like it. It feels good. :)

Hair Today.... Gone Tomorrow

HAH! I knew that title would catch your attention! ... I haven't actually cut my hair yet. It's gotten sooooooooooo long and pretty. BUT! ITS ANNOYING AND TANGLE Y! I've been planning to cut it short (somewhere between a bob and shoulder length) for ages, and finally the moment draws near... and I'm beginning to chicken out.

Have you ever heard this... "When people have babies they cut their hair short.... AND TURN INTO MOMMIES." NOw... turning into a "Mommy" is awesome... but having a "Mommy" hair cut makes me feel like... i don't know... nervous. haha LIke I'm gonna turn all stuffy. Also.. will cutting it short make me look fat? hahahaha

I need some encouragement... some confidence from you! ANd if you don't have it... don't say anything at all! haha.

And just a random thought I had the other day... Does anyone else sneeze when they pluck their eyebrows? That is if you pluck yours... I have to! OR I look like Oscar the Grouch or some vodka drinking Russian

Baby Swing

Rachel loves being outside. Lately any time we go outside she starts giggling with joy. Jessica was pretty sick today, so i took Rachel to the Park. One of her favorite things to do is to swing in the baby swings. She could stay in those swings for hours. She has even started to use her charm on her daddy so that she can stay a little longer.This is the expression she has on her face during the first 15 minutes in the swing.

This is how she lets us know that she is simply to cute to be taken from the swing.

This is what happens when we take her out of the swing. The slide is just not good enough.

And this is the "Oh no!!! Daddy is coming to get me, look distraught and cute at the same time! Maybe he'll leave you alone for another couple of minutes." After this, she normally hangs on for dear life and will not let the swing go. The rest of the story is not nearly as sweet.

Little Pumpkin

We had a fun halloween trick-or-treating! Rachel was the cutest little pumpkin ever! She has now been crawling like a pro for about two weeks! Her favorite things are paper, trash, and cords. :) haha. I love being a Mommy.
